Oh my! Here's the candy store we'd pass on the way to/from Lincoln School. Right on the corner of Wayne and 28th St!
Unbelievably, I drove right up to it -- remembered every single step!
The school was OPEN! I walked in (around 4:00 PM) and the first person I bumped into was the PRINCIPAL! She was GREAT!
Lincoln School is turning 100 this Fall so she invited me to come back for the BIG CELEBRATION!!!!! Just might do it!
Anyone want to join me? It's still a beautiful old building!

Lincoln's HUGE Stage! As soon as I saw it, thoughts of Ice Cream Socials came flying into my head!!!!
I totally remembered this auditorium!

They got new seats but they are the same as the old ones! I remember the window shades in the auditorium! I also remembered how to walk directly to my 1st grade room (didn't go there but as soon as I was inside, I knew that it was directly to the left then first right!) but couldn't remember my teacher's names. Thought that one had a name similar to the word "banana" but not sure!
Wilson Junior High School (Middle School Now) on 28th Street. Another beautiful building!
View of back of Wilson from the corner of the Catholic School at bottom of Monroe (i.e. 26th Street)
Stately Academy High School (Now the Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy)
Side View of Academy HS. Beautiful architecture! This is the State Street side. State Street is the "Strip" of Erie!
