Schools with a growing Latino demographic have found great success in engaging students, parents, and local communities by implementing standards-based, traditional Mariachi Education Programs. These programs are growing at an exponential rate and school districts, community centers and after-school programs are all discovering that by providing mariachi experiences, young people are becoming more engaged in their general education.
Music Education Consultants, Inc., has been instrumental in providing the nation's premiere professional development training event held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada. These workshops are now administered by Mariachi Education Consultants, LLC, and they continue to contribute significantly to the growth of Mariachi Education Programs across the country. Participating educators have told us that the mariachi programs they initiated as a result of the training received provided them with "some of the most rewarding educational experiences [they] have had." These workshops are now being provided by the Senior Mariachi Directors from past workshops who have been instructing educators for the past 15 years.
